“Actually, my name is not Sophia..”
Sophia is my daughter whose need for a birthday invitation inspired me to begin this journey.
Starting in 2012, Sophia’s Things, owned by me, Martha Tedesco, began as a one woman show. I started on this venture while working a full-time job and clocking in many late nights in the hopes of one day pursuing this full-time. This journey has unlocked a passion in me I was never able to find in a regular job. A passion I am thrilled to share with both our clients and our team. The thought of one day being my own boss, as well as setting a good example for my daughter (now daughters) of what hard work and dedication can accomplish, pushed me to my limits.
In October of 2018, I was presented with the opportunity to leave the work force, allowing me to focus all of my energy into the business. As the business grew at a pace I could no longer handle alone, I decided to search for like-minded individuals to work alongside me to help the business flourish. Individuals passionate about remarkable customer service and creating an exceptional work product.
I am happy to say that as of 2024, Sophia’s Things now employs eight incredible women who take pride in what they do and always strive for more. Eight incredible women, without whose efforts, would not allow the business to continue to grow.
